The EU enlargement commissioner said during a meeting with top Bosnian officials he believed an agreement could be reached to help it exit a political blockade. Bosnia has a clear European perspective, but it is up to the politicians to reach an agreement as to how they would accelerate the progress, Stefan Fule said during a break in the high-level EU-Bosnia dialogue in Brussels which started on Wednesday afternoon. We aim to explain the functioning of the European integration process and help them set up coordination mechanism between entities and the government level, Fule said and added that in the next stage of enlargement, Bosnia needs to unify its voice. It is up to politicians to decide which model of coordination they would implement, the commissioner said and added that Brussels is there to help and it offers a political bridge toward the talks on accession. Still, he underscored that he does not expect the Wednesday talks to lead to a breakthrough in the political blockade in Bosnia and that he wants to see the results in the long run.
