New Serbia (NS) leader Velimir Ilic says that the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) has offered Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic the PM seat. He added that the Socialists had been offered all the ministries they were interested in. PM's seat was offered to Dacic, NS leader says “Dacic is still hesitating because of his old love for the Democrats,” Ilic told Belgrade-based daily Danas. Ilic, who personally is not taking part in talks on the government, said that "(SNS acting leader) Aleksandar Vucic has talked to everyone on our coalition's behalf, but they all are indecisive, and do not want to give a final answer, but rather make promises that they will call us in a few days." "The day when they will decide on our offer does not seem to be coming. Everybody wants to play the lead in the government and leave only remnants to those who won the elections," the NS leader explained. When asked what the problem was if the potential partners were given everything they wanted, Ilic said that "first love never dies and that this is what seems to be the problem." The NS leader pointed out that it would not have bothered him to sit in the government with United Regions of Serbia (URS) leader Mladjan Dinkic, but added that the NS had also received an offer from the Democratic Party (DS) to take part in the government. When asked whether this meant that the DS had invited him to the government, Ilic replied positively. "Everyone invited us, because we suit everybody. We are correct and do not like complicated situations," said Ilic, adding that "Vucic has been correct and offered everyone what they requested, in order to set up a government."
