A trial of former Republic Institute for Health Insurance (RZZO) Director Svetlana Vukajlovic and directors of pharmaceutical companies will start on June 28. Vukajlovic and the directors of pharmaceutical companies are accused of abuse of office during flu vaccine procurement. Trial in flu vaccine case to start on June 28 The first hearing will be closed to public and defense attorneys and prosecutors will then present evidence and propose witnesses. Aside from Vukajlovic, former Jugohemija Director Smiljka Mileusnic Adzic, Detap Director Ljubomir Pavicevic and Jugohemija farmacija Director Vladimir Gravar are also charged with abuse of office during procurement of swine flu vaccines. The Organized Crime Prosecution filed charges against Vukajlovic, Mileusnic Adzic, Pavicevic and Gravar in late February for incurring damages worth around EUR 1.25mn to the state budget through illegal procurement of the vaccines in the end of 2009.
