The Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) released on Thursday the final results of the presidential run-off held on May 20. According to the results obtained from all polling stations, presidential candidate Tomislav Nikolic won 49.54 percent, and his rival Boris Tadic 47.31 percent of the vote. Commission releases final election results According to the final results, 1,552,063 eligible voters cast their ballot for Nikolic, while 1,481,952 voted for Tadic. The electoral register contained 6,752,351 Serbian citizens, 3,133,682 of whom went to the polls, bringing the turnout in the second round to 46.28 percent.
