Commenting on Tomislav Nikolic's victory, Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic has said that "everything will be more complicated from now on". He told daily Blic that people's will should be respected and that the new government should be formed as soon as possible. Nikolic’s victory “makes things more complicated“ When asked whether the previous coalition agreement with the Democratic Party (DS) was still valid, Dacic stressed that the latest development was setting a new position in the country's political scene. “This means that the president will appoint a prime minister designate and the question is to whom he would give the mandate. Everything will certainly be more complicated,“ he was quoted as saying. Socialist Party (SPS)-Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS)-United Serbia (JS) coalition reached an agreement with the DS-led coalition after the May 6 elections to start talks about the forming of a joint government after the second round of the presidential election. However, the agreement was based on a presumption that DS-led coalition candidate Boris Tadic would win the presidential run-off election. Ivica Dacic B92 Blic
