Progressives declare party leader's victory
Deputy leader of the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vučić announced that Tomislav Nikolić won in the second round of the presidential election.

Deputy leader of the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vucic announced that Tomislav Nikolic won in the second round of the presidential election. SNS leader Nikolic ran against DS leader Boris Tadic, who was seeking his third term in office. Progressives declare party leader's victory "Serbia tonight has a new president - Tomislav Nikolic," Vucic declared during a news conference late on Sunday in Belgrade. Vucic said that Nikolic maintained 1.5 percent advantage over Nikolic, and that this figure was based on results from 100 percent of polling stations.
