Serbian Army (VS) Peacekeeping Operation Center Head Colonel Jelesije Radivojević says 150 VS members will be sent on a peacekeeping mission to Lebanon.

Serbian Army (VS) Peacekeeping Operation Center Head Colonel Jelesije Radivojevic says 150 VS members will be sent on a peacekeeping mission to Lebanon. The troops will be deployed to Lebanon this fall. Serbian peacekeepers to take part in Lebanon mission "The Serbian military is preparing the greatest logistics operation since 1999. I am talking about sending 150 VS members to join the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), for the first time together with the accompanying technical equipment and armoured vehicles," Radivojevic told daily Politika. “At the moment, Serbia has five senior officers who are holding high command positions in the mission in Lebanon as part of the Spanish contingent,” he noted. “Prior to their departure to Lebanon, the Serbian troops will receive training in Spain during the summer, from where they will then travel to Lebanon,” Radivojevic added.
