A man was arrested on Monday in Bosnia-Herzegovina for attempting to sell a human skull in an open air auto market in Sarajevo. The Bosnian police informed the Institute for Missing Persons about the incident, said reports, and this was confirmed by the institute's spokesperson Lejla Cengic. The spokesperson explained that if forensic analysis showed there was suspicion the that skull came from a victim of the 1992-95 war in Bosnia, the institute would take a DNA sample in order to identify the person in question. Otherwise, said Cengic, the cantonal prosecution and police in Sarajevo would take over the case. Reports from Sarajevo said that local police "confirmed" that a man identified with his initials as M.G., a native of Sarajevo, had tried to sell the skull.
