The Belgrade-Pristina talks will continue after the new government is formed, Belgrade team chief and Democratic Party (DS) official Borislav Stefanovic says. He added that the DS had a clear plan for an all-encompassing solution to the Kosovo issue. All agreements will be implemented, team chief says Stefanovic said that he had not heard a single concrete suggestion for solving of the Kosovo issue from political opponents. “I am sorry that our opponents are once again showing not only that they do not know how to treat the agreement reached with Pristina, but they are also showing that they do not know how to resolve the issue. Neither have we heard a single concrete suggestion nor we will hear it,” he stressed. Stefanovic noted that “those who think that Kosovo’s policy is to chant slogans in Kosovska Mitrovica will not bring a better life to the people and they are only selling them false slogans and false patriotism”. He added that the dialogue with Pristina was difficult and slow but that the Serbian government would fully implement all the agreements that had been reached with Pristina because it was its obligation. He stressed that Belgrade would never recognize Kosovo’s independence. Commenting on the announcements that some municipalities in northern Kosovo would organize the local elections by themselves, Stefanovic said that Serbia would organize the parliamentary and local elections “wherever it is possible in the territory of Kosovo”. “Those are the elections that will be legally regulated in accordance with decisions of the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) as a competent organ for organization of the elections in the entire territory of Serbia. The citizens who are Serbian citizens should behave and act in accordance with decisions and legal regulations of Serbia as their state,” he concluded. Borislav Stefanovic (Beta, file) Beta
