The owner of a Belgrade restaurant has been arrested on suspicion that he organized a bomb attack on the house of a former footballer, it has been confirmed. Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that Dragan Bulic aka Aca was under arrest. Ex-football official arrested for bomb attack According to the latest information, several other persons were arrested aside from Bulic. Bulic’s connection with recent rioting of Partizan and Red Star fans on the highway near the southern city of Nis is currently being investigated. Dacic announced that the Belgrade police had aside from Bulic arrested four more persons, including the perpetrator of the attack on Dragan Stojkovic Piksi’s house. He noted that the police were still searching for the second perpetrator of the attack. Bulic, a son of a controversial businessman Jusuf Bulic who was killed in an ambush in 1998, is a former Association of First League Clubs president and a former owner of Zeleznik FC. His family business had ties with a chain of betting parlors. Unknown persons threw a hand grenade at Stojkovic’s family home in Nis on February 23. Stojkovic’s mother Desanka was inside the house when the bomb exploded but nobody was injured in the incident. Stojkovic was in Japan at the time of the attack where he coaches Nagoya Grampus FC. The former national team player was in Belgrade shortly before the attack and he was verbally attacked by two Red Star fans in a cafe. Stojkovic filed charges against the perpetrators. Media have reported that the police are investigating whether the incident was a motive for the bomb attack on his home. Bulic was elected the Association of First League Clubs president in 2000. He told B92’s investigative program Insajder (Insider) that he was supported by football officials despite the fact that media had mentioned his alleged criminal connections. “There is this image of me because my father was who he was.
