"EU demanding for Kosovo deal to be honored"

The EU has sent a message to Belgrade, Pristina, and the countries of the Western Balkans demanding that an agreement reached last month be respected. The agreement, reached during the EU-sponsored Kosovo dialogue, concerns representation of Kosovo in regional gatherings. Asked whether the walkouts meant that the regional representation deal was being "circumvented", the official responded by saying that it was "absolutely in the interest of all sides and the countries of the Western Balkans for the Brussels agreement to be respected". This source further stressed that the agreement was "completely clear, unequivocal, and officially published". However, he also noted that representatives of the government in Belgrade "made a mistake" when they immediately left the two meetings where Kosovo was not represented according to the deal.
