EU mediator in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Robert Cooper met with Belgrade team chief Borislav Stefanovic on Wednesday. The main topic of their meeting was Kosovo’s regional representation. EU facilitator meets with Belgrade team chief Stefanovic presented several proposals for Pristina’s regional representation with full respect of the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, the Serbian government said in a release. The government did not state any details about the proposals that Stefanovic presented to Cooper on Wednesday. European officials have been saying in the last several days that the continuation of the talks with Pristina and a solution for Kosovo’s regional representation are important for continuation of Serbia's EU integration process. Stefanovic told Beta news agency ahead of the meeting with Cooper that Serbia was asked to give up on the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which was unacceptable to Belgrade. Aside from the regional representation issue, Cooper and the Belgrade team head also discussed the implementation of the agreements that have been reached in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the Serbian government released after the meeting. The two officials noted during the meeting in Belgrade that the implementation of the agreements was going at a good rate and that it was necessary for both parties to make additional effort in order to fully implement all the agreements. According to announcements from Brussels, Cooper should also visit Pristina on Thursday. Stefanović presented several proposals for Priština’s regional representation with full respect of the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, the Serbian government said in a release.

The government did not state any details about the proposals that Stefanović presented to Cooper on Wednesday.
