The opposition Serb Progressives (SNS) today met for a session of the party's main board and elected their candidate for prime minister. The SNS announced that its candidate to head the country's next government is party leader and MP Tomislav Nikolic. SNS chooses Nikolic as candidate for next PM Parliamentary elections will to be called in Serbia in March. The opposition party polls as one of the country's most popular. Ahead of the meeting today, deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic said he expected the candidate to be Nikolic. The board will also discuss association of some organizations to the "people's movement" led by the SNS, he revealed. "I expect Nikolic to be unanimously selected as candidate for premier, and I will personally put forward this proposal," said Vucic.
