Leader of the opposition SNS party Tomislav Nikolic plans to run in Serbia's presidential elections, even if prior to this he becomes the country's PM. This is according to the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) official and MP Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who spoke in Belgrade on Thursday. "If elected PM, Nikolic will also run for president" Parliamentary elections are expected to take place in the spring. The SNS has been polling as the country's most popular party. While announcing that Nikolic plans to run in the presidential ballot, set to take place after the parliamentary elections, Tabakovic did not say who would replace Nikolic as prime minister. She said that the party's ratings were "for the most part the ratings of Tomislav Nikolic", and asserted that he has demonstrated "his skill and capability in running the state". Tabakovic also addressed the issue of the final audit report for the 2010 state budget, which was only recently submitted to parliament, and wondered about "the purpose of the State Audit Institution (DRI)", considering that there was no conclusion to any of the processes probing misuses of public funds. "The report proves that we have powerful individuals instead of powerful institutions, and they serve individuals instead of the public," Tabakovic said.
