KFOR Spokesman Uwe Nowitzki says KFOR just informed the local authorities about the measures it undertook on the alternative route in the village of Banje. Nowitzki told Tanjug these were not negotiations between KFOR and the Zubin Potok authorities but just KFOR providing information to local Serb officials. This is considered illegal entry into Kosovo,” the KFOR spokesman stressed. He explained that trucks over 3.5 tons could only enter Kosovo at the official Brnjak crossing. On Thursday, KFOR troops continued stopping large trucks which attempted to cross from central Serbia into Kosovo using the alternative route in the vicinity of the Brnjak administrative crossing. French KFOR soldiers, who are stationed in Banje, stopped all trucks which tried to reach Zubin Potok using this route. The Brnjak administrative crossing is open for traffic but local Serbs are blocking the Ribarice-Zubin Potok road in the immediate vicinity of the crossing in central Serbia. (file) Tanjug
