Belgraders and visitors who chose to welcome 2012 in the Serbian capital spent the new year celebrations last night in several locations. Most people gathered for concerts and fireworks at the parliament plateau, and at the new bridge over the Sava River, which was officially open at midnight last night. In northern, Serb-dominated part of Kosovo, most citizens spent the night in their homes, with family and friends, while some choose restaurants that organized New Year celebrations.
