Montenegrin PM calls for united Orthodox church

Montenegro’s Prime Minister Igor Lukšić has stated that he is in favor of a united Orthodox community in Montenegro, regardless of ethnicity.

Montenegro’s Prime Minister Igor Luksic has stated that he is in favor of a united Orthodox community in Montenegro, regardless of ethnicity. He told Podgorica-based daily Dan that as a prime minister he would be “much more satisfied if the Orthodox community in Montenegro was gathered around one center”, adding that he personally would like to see the Orthodox communities united regardless of ethnicity. Luksic said that the new systematization in the Human Rights Ministry envisaged a sector for cooperation with the religious communities.
