Serbian parliament adopts budget for 2012

The Serbian parliament voted to adopt late on Thursday in Belgrade the country's state budget for 2012. Out of 250 MPs, the most important financial act won the support of all 128 MPs who attended the session. The parliament adopted the government proposition that the 2012 budget should enter into force prior to the eighth day of publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia. Upon adoption of the budget, MPs went on to discuss the set of accompanying budget laws. The laws comprise bill of amendments to the Law on Budget System, Excise Duty Law, Corporate Income Tax Law, contributions to the mandatory social insurance, tax proceedings and administration, mandatory traffic insurance, public roads, road traffic safety and the Fund for Environment Protection.
