Serbia’s Agriculture Minister Dusan Petrovic has stated that the Serbian government is stable. He believes that parliamentary elections will be held when they are supposed to in accordance with the Constitution and laws, in in the spring of 2012. Govt. stable, elections next spring, minister believes When asked to comment on polemics between the ruling coalition parties in the media, the minister said: “It’s all parliamentary democracy”. “As you see, parliament is voting in laws, there is a parliamentary majority and things are stable when it comes to the government,” the Democratic Party (DS) deputy leader and agriculture minister pointed out. He stated that the government had, despite the economic crisis, made significant progress in the previous period and that the judicial reform, professionalization of the Serbian Army (RS), obtaining of a favorable credit rating, more investments compared to some states in the region were among the most important results. Petrovic added that the government was aware that people were living in difficult conditions but that it had done a good job in the previous period nonetheless.
