The company has American diplomat Frank Wisner on its payroll, writes Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore. Wisner was previously involved in negotiations aimed at resolving the future status of Kosovo. Besides lobbying for recognitions, the contract is also aimed at "strengthening Kosovo's presence in all key world institutions, as well as enhancing Kosovo's image in certain circles", said the newspaper. "The contract was entered into and between the American company and Kosovo's Foreign Ministry in August this year," the article further claims, and adds that "member of the Kosovo parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee Donika Kadaj Bujupi said that the experience with Saatchi & Saatchi leaves room for doubt". Two and a half years ago, the advertising agency was awarded a EUR 5.7mn-worth contract "to improve Kosovo's image abroad", but now the authorities in Pristina are "dissatisfied with the campaign's overall results", says the article.
