The third status conference in the trial against Ratko Mladic before the Hague Tribunal was held on Thursday in the defendant's absence. Report said that he "could not appear before the court due to his bad medical condition". Status conference held in Mladic's absence Mladic was supposed to plead to the new point in the third version of the amended indictment which charges him with crimes committed in the village of Bisina near Sekovic, eastern Bosnia, back in 1995. Judge Alfonso Ori stated that the Hague Trial Chamber has been informed that Mladic cannot attend the conference due to his poor health condition and announced that the defendant's appearance before the court would be postponed, while the date of Mladic's next appearance in the courtroom should be released later on. The judge scheduled that the next status conference in the Mladic case for December 8. The Hague indictment against Mladic contains 11 points, including genocide charges, charges of crimes against humanity and violation of laws and customs of war in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the period 1992-1995. Mladic was arrested in Lazarevo near Zrenjanin, north-eastern Serbia, late in May after 16 years spent on the run and was promptly extradited to the Hague. During his first appearance before the court, Mladic postponed his plea, and on July 4 he was removed from the courtroom because of session obstruction and did not plead to the indictment, which is why court officials registered his statement as not guilty. Mladić was supposed to plead to the new point in the third version of the amended indictment which charges him with crimes committed in the village of Bisina near Šeković, eastern Bosnia, back in 1995.
