All border crossings between Macedonia and Greece are closed since Friday morning due to Greek customs workers’ strike which will last ten days. Vehicles will not be allowed to go through but passengers will be able to cross the border on foot. Strike closes Greek border crossings The Greek customs officers held three strikes last month, completely blocking the freight traffic. They also went on strike during the summer holiday season. Greece has been experiencing a series of strikes ever since the government announced new and more rigorous austerity measures in order to avoid bankruptcy. According to agency reports, Athens public transportation workers are not working today.
