Serbia’s Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic has stated that he expects the current ruling coalition to form the government after the upcoming elections. He stressed he was optimistic about Serbia’s future and its European integration. He did not want to assess the government’s work, adding that he had been “politically inexperienced” when he had made such assessments in the past. “It is a conflict of interest to ask me what I think about myself because everybody gives themselves the highest marks,” Cvetkovic said and added that other should assess the government’s work. “But as long as the government is getting negative assessments from the parties with opposing interests, I think that it is a certain success,” he explained. The Serbian prime minister stressed that Serbia was “not at risk of facing the Greek scenario” and that it would not end up in a situation where it would be unable to pay off its debts.
