The EU values Serbia’s commitment to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, parliament's Culture and Information Committee Chairwoman Jelena Trivan told Tanjug. "The members of the European Parliament highly value Serbia's commitment to the dialogue with Pristina and the European model of behavior and peace displayed by Serbia, despite the fact that unilateral actions have taken place in Kosovo,” she said. EU “appreciates Serbia’s efforts” After the opening of the exhibition of works of Milena Pavlovic Barili within the two-day manifestation Serbia Days in the European Parliament, Trivan said that Serbia's proactive position, which offered solutions and dialogue with Pristina, was welcomed at the meeting with a group of MEPs. According to her, the MEPs believe that the progress made in the dialogue with Pristina shows that Serbia can be used a model for other countries in the Balkans and the entire region as to how to behave and resolve conflicts and disputes. "The MEPs also appreciate the agreement regarding the customs office and customs stamps, and believe this shows Serbia's absolute commitment to resolve all disputable issues, which is very important for Europe," she pointed out. Trivan said that the MEPs from various political groups and countries share the opinion that Serbia has made a huge progress in EU integration, that it had absolutely earned the candidate status, and that it was not overambitious to discuss the date for the beginning of negotiations. “Bringing bills on restitution and public property bringing before parliament was also welcomed, and the fact is that the Serbian government has adopted all recommendations of the European Commission,” she said, adding that MEPs believed there would be no single argument suggesting that Serbia has not fulfilled the entire action plan, after the media strategy is adopted. The aim of the two-day event Serbia Days in the European Parliament is to present art, culture, tradition, business and other values of Serbia which clearly confirm Serbia's European perspective. The event is organized by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for EU Integration Bozidar Djelic’s office in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and Culture, Media and Information Society Ministry.
