Tuesday night was peacefully in northern Kosovo. Several Serb citizens spent the night at the roadblocks at the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings, as well as at the roads running across northern Kosovo. Young players of the Kosmet football club from Leposavic had a training session last night, and a literary evening with poets from Kosovo is scheduled for late Wednesday. Cultural club Kopaonik from Leposavic staged a performance at the administrative crossing Jarinje Monday and Tuesday evening. On Tuesday KFOR removed barbed wire at the Brnjak crossing which the international forces consider to be open. According to KFOR and EULEX, the barricade allows pedestrian, but prevents vehicle traffic. The situation at the Jarinje crossing remained unchanged, and KFOR did not remove the barbed wire put up when the crossing was closed. EULEX police arrested Tuesday two Kosovo Serbs, one of whom is minor, on reasonable suspicion of having fired a weapon in the direction of a house belonging to a member of the Kosovo police in the village of Lesko. Lawyer Dejan Vasic told Tanjug that the two Serbs from Lesko had been arrested. They will both appear in front of a pre-trial judge who will determine the custody. The two arrested Serbs are charged with a criminal act of causing general danger and they are currently in custody in southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
