Serb workers from Kosovska Mitrovica are holding protests in the northern part of the ethnically divided town in the north of the province. The workers say that they want to send a peaceful message that they will not accept Pristina authorities’ intention to establish Kosovo customs at the Brnjak and Jarinje administrative crossings. Workers, students hold peaceful protests in Kosovo According to a Beta reporter, students and teachers held early Friday the first class in front of a local church in Leposavic. Stores in northern Kosovo are open, vehicles carrying daily newspapers, milk and bread are using alternative routes so there is no shortage of basic foodstuffs. However, gas stations have run out of gas and there is not even enough fuel for ambulances. Albanians who work on construction sites in northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica did not come to work today and stores in the multiethnic neighborhood of Bosnjacka mahala where Serbs usually shop are closed. Serbs reinforced barricades on several roads in Ibarski Kolasin last night. Barricades have been reinforced in the village of Zupce on the Kosovska Mitrovica-Ribarice road as well. Logs have been unloaded on the road leading toward the Brnjak administrative checkpoint in the village of Banje. The situation in northern Kosovo is calm, but tense and uncertain. According to a Beta reporter, students and teachers held early Friday the first class in front of a local church in Leposavić.

Stores in northern Kosovo are open, vehicles carrying daily newspapers, milk and bread are using alternative routes so there is no shortage of basic foodstuffs.

However, gas stations have run out of gas and there is not even enough fuel for ambulances.

Albanians who work on construction sites in northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica did not come to work today and stores in the multiethnic neighborhood of Bošnjačka mahala where Serbs usually shop are closed.
