Serbia “blackmailed with Kosovo”

Russian Ambassador in Belgrade Aleksandr Konuzin has stated that Serbia is being openly blackmailed with Kosovo. Konuzin told reporters that Serbia was, thanks to its wish to join the EU, being forced to give up on its national interests in Kosovo. He stressed that EULEX had come to Kosovo in 2008 in accordance with the Resolution 1244 as a neutral mission only to openly side with Pristina and help Kosovo Albanians implement their decisions. “That way they are giving legitimacy to Kosovo organs and at the same time they declare legitimately elected Serbian authorities ‘parallel structures’,” Konuzin explained.
