Serbian Deputy PM Ivica Dacic believes that union representatives and the government will reach an agreement on a final version of draft law on strike. He said that a solution which would allow citizens to protest without jeopardizing others’ interests should be found. “Citizens should have right to strike” “The bottom line is that it should not be banned to hold a strike outside factories but that rules of the game should also be enabled,” the deputy prime minister explained. He added that the state could not allow international roads, airports and railroads to be blocked but pointed out that he understood the citizens’ need to express their protest in places where it would be noticed. Dacic said that the draft law still was not a proposal and that the competent ministry was still debating it. Ivica Dacic (Tanjug, file)
