UNMIK chief Lamberto Zanier will almost certainly be the new Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). According to the Austrian news agency APA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, the country that chairs the OSCE at the moment, said that there were no objections to the proposal that Zannier should be the one to replace Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, whose mandate expires at the end of June.
