The news of Mladic’s arrest has upset us, not only because we know that the only remaining thing is Goran's arrest, says Hague indictee Goran Hadzic's sister. “Nobody has called us since the moment General Ratko Mladic was arrested and nothing out of the ordinary is so far happening around us,” Goranka Meseldzija told daily Vecernje novosti. “Hadzic’s arrest only remaining thing to do” “All of us passed the border of despair a long time ago and all this only added one more gloomy shade. Of course, we don’t know what will happen next but we are prepared for anything,” Hadzic’s younger sister was quoted as saying. Hadzic is the only remaining Hague fugitive. He has been on the run since July 2004. His sister’s home and home of his wife Zivka and son Srecko in Novi Sad have been searched numerous times and are under constant surveillance. 23-year-old Srecko Hadzic hopes that Mladic’s arrest woud somewhat take the burden off his family's shoulders, even though it sounds like a paradox. “If anybody can understand how heavy the burden is, than it’s us, regardless of the fact that the indictment against my father is lighter than the one against General Mladic,” he told the daily.
