Ratko Mladic's arrest is a historical day that will close a dark chapter, War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic told B92. He added that Serbia had this way proved that it truly had been cooperating with the Hague Tribunal. The war crimes prosecutor stressed that Mladic claimed after he had been arrested that he was not guilty and that all those who had committed murders should stand trial. “Mladic is aware of that but he claims that he did not kill. He agrees with me that everybody who violated the law should be held responsible,“ he pointed out. Vukcevic stated that Mladic could only prove his innocence in the Hague Tribunal.
