Serge Brammertz is dissatisfied because there are no results, Head of the Serbian Office for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal Dusan Ignjatovic said. He added that Brammertz's associates had insight into everything that was being done. “Hague chief prosecutor wants fugitives arrested” He told B92 that Hague indictee Ratko Mladic was hiding well and that he was more successful than everybody who was looking for him. “Mladic is obviously hiding well. If he is alive, he is more successful for now. He should be arrested and I believe that he would be extradited to the Hague Tribunal the moment it happens,” Ignjatovic stressed. He explained that nobody could deny the existence of Serbia’s political will to cooperate with the Hague Tribunal and that the cooperation was close to being full, which was not the case with many other areas. The head of the Serbian government’s Office for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal said that Brammertz, who is wrapping up his visit to Belgrade, was not happy with the cooperation because Mladic and Goran Hadzic had not been arrested, bearing in mind that the Hague Tribunal chief prosecutor would like that to happen during his mandate. “We are cooperating with The Hague enough. The cooperation reflects in the fact that nothing is being hidden and that we are transparent,” he added. According to him, a partial success for Serbia is the fact that Brammertz’s report will be “more or less” like the one in December. When asked about assessment of the Dutch parliament delegation that Serbian officials are too optimistic regarding obtaining the EU candidate status by the end of the year, Ignjatovic said that the Dutch were not the only ones who would decide about that.
