Head of Belgrade's negotiating team Borislav Stefanovic expressed belief on Thursday that it would be good if the negotiations were staged in Pristina as well. He also assessed that it was a good moment to do so, announcing that he might visit Pristina next week. “Good moment” to visit Pristina, says team chief “We have shown readiness on a number of occasions for the talks to be conducted in Pristina as well. We believe that this would be good for the negotiating process and contribute to mutual trust and exchange of ideas in the intervals between meetings,” he told Tanjug. He expressed optimism on this matter and said that this could come true in the course of next week. Stefanovic added that he could specify the date of his visit or the names of officials he would confer with because, as he said, the organization of the meetings was still underway. When asked to comment on the statement of head of Pristina's negotiating team Edita Tahiri who said thatit was not the right moment for a Kosovo official to confer with Stefanovic, he said that he believed there was no such thing as a bad moment for talks. “I believe that there is no such thing as a bad moment to talk. Since talks are already being conducted in Brussels, I see no reason why this would be a problem,” he stressed. Tahiri previously stated that she was notified about Stefanovic's plans to visit Kosovo, but she assessed that it was not the right moment for it although Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuci said that the Pristina government approved of the visit. On Wednesday, the head of Belgrade’s negotiating team announced that he would visit Kosovo and confer with Serbs to the south and the north of the Ibar River, as well as Albanian representatives, ahead of the next round of talks which should take place in Brussels in mid-May.
