The head of Serbia's negotiating team in the dialogue with Pristina discussed further steps in the talks with Serbian President Boris Tadic. The meeting, which took place in Belgrade late on Monday and attended by Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic and deputy head of the negotiating team Vlada Jovicic, was held at the presidential building. Kosovo talks team chief confers with president Stefanovic told Tanjug that the meeting, which focused on future steps in the negotiating process in detail, including "how to react to future moves by everyone involved in the dialogue", lasted two hours in a working atmosphere. "I do not want to reveal details, but we worked out a detailed scenario for future moves and different proposals," Stefanovic said. According to reports, the team chief said the issues discussed with the representatives of Kosovo's Albanians were "very delicate", and listed them as "use of ID cards and passports, freedom of movements, supply of electric power to Serbs in Kosovo and mobile telephony". "Things are very urgent, and any unilateral move in Kosovo itself could jeopardize the fragile security situation," stated Stefanovic. He said he also gave Tadic a detailed report on the third round of the talks with Pristina. The meeting went to the noise of a demonstration outside, where supporters of the opposition Serb Progressives (SNS) gathered to express solidarity with their leader, who has been on a hunger strike since Saturday, demanding early elections. Some 1,000 protesters said they were involved in a street performance, and dubbed it, "Let's wake up the president". Stefanovic said he and other participants in the meeting were not bothered by this, as protests are "part of the democratic folklore". Borko Stefanovic (Tanjug, file)
