Croatia will request ex-mayor's extradition
The Croatian Justice Ministry is readying the paperwork necessary for filing a request for the extradition of former Trebinje Mayor Božidar Vučurević.

The Croatian Justice Ministry is readying the paperwork necessary for filing a request for the extradition of former Trebinje Mayor Bozidar Vucurevic. This is according to ministry spokeswoman Vesna Dovranic, Beta reported. Croatia will request ex-mayor's extradition Dovranic said that Croatia had not received official confirmation from Interpol of the arrest, and that it was waiting for notification from the Serbian Ministry of Justice along with the accompanying documents on Vucurevic's extradition custody. Dovranic said that further proceedings and their speed would hinge on whether or not Vucurevic was willing to accept a simplified extradition procedure. Even though Serbia and Croatia do not have a treaty on the extradition of war crimes suspects, Dovranic said that there was a host of interstate agreements that were sufficient for the extradition.
