The Serbian parliament on Friday adopted the amendments to the Law on Government and the bill on ministries. Their passing was a precondition for the completion of the government reshuffle process. Parliament adopts reshuffle amendments 129 MPs voted in favor, while the opposition did not attend the voting, said reports. Eight amendments have been submitted to the Law on Government, and 54 to the bill on ministries. The debate started yesterday, and opposition MPs were strongly critical of the provision which stipulates that the minister shall act for the government's stances even if they do not agree with them, while the ruling coalition took the firm stand that the government is a collective body which should be regulated. The reshuffled government is supposed to have 17 ministries and 21 members. (Tanjug)
