Serbia needs to find a creative solution for Kosovo before it joins the EU, said Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic. He told EurActiv.de that Belgrade hoped that Serbia would be ready to join the EU in late 2015 and stated that possible solutions for Kosovo could be modeled after Hong Kong and two Germanies, Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore reported. “We must solve Kosovo issue before we join EU” Djelic has assessed that “such compromise would guarantee economic and political autonomy of Kosovo, without jeopardizing Serbia’s territorial integrity.” “We cannot have a long-term peace if we support one nationalism against the other.
