Most corruption complaints by citizens refer to public procurement, Transparency Serbia associate Nenad Protic said Thursday. Speaking at a Tanjug news agency roundtable Protic stated that Serbians also complained about corruption in the justice system, health-care, education, police and various inspection services. Most corruption complaints concern public procurement "People are giving up on acting against corruption because their complaints are not addressed by the proper institutions," he warned. Transparency Serbia and other institutions and organizations in the country should urge the citizens to fight corruption, so that it could be reduced, he argued. "People often cannot see a way out of all the problems, but they should persist in their struggle," Protic noted. According to him, if human rights are broken, the citizens should turn to the European Court of Human Rights.
