Police are interrogating former Kolubara Coal Mine Director Dragan Tomic over abuse of state money which was revealed by B92 investigative program Insajder. Tomic, who was also Serbian Power Company (EPS) deputy director, is being questioned by Belgrade police Economic Crime Department. Police interrogate ex-Kolubara director Tomic was brought in for questioning as a part of a pre-trial proceeding aimed at gathering evidence of possible abuse of office regarding the lease of additional machines in the Kolubara Coal Mine, the police announced. Police have questioned more than 20 persons in the last few days and have announced that statements will be taken from 100 more people. The B92 investigative program has revealed a series of information about abuses in the Kolubara Coal Mine and that criminal charges were filed earlier against Tomic, who was the company director from 2004 until 2008, under suspicion of incurring more than EUR 50mn of damages to the company.
