Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac has stated that the PM and the ruling coalition will have the final say in the government reshuffle. “It is never too late for a government reshuffle provided it introduces new quality. Changes are always welcome, but it is debatable how much energy and time they will take first within the ruling coalition, and then within individual ministries,” he told daily Vecernje novosti. “Relations within ruling coalition good” The defense minister pointed out that the government needed to persuade citizens that it had a plan and knew how to do its job. “Much effort will be needed to restore citizens' positive energy,” he was quoted as saying. When asked whether he believed that the citizens would turn against the ruling coalition in the next elections, Sutanovac responded that this issue would be discussed this time next year when the elections are called. “I firmly believe that the government has given its best and that this year will prove that,” he stressed, adding that the current relations within the ruling coalition were “very good”. “The media has created an image of the ruling coalition which is often in conflict over certain issues, however it is only good cooperation that I have seen during our meetings,” the defense minister concluded.
