Agim Ceku says that leader of Alliance for a New Kosovo Bedzet Pacoli and leader of Democratic Party of Kosovo Hashim Thaci have not reached any agreement. Reports previously said that they would form the new government in Pristina. "No agreement on new govt. in Pristina" Ceku, who heads the Social Democratic Party, attended the meeting between Pacoli and Thaci on Saturday, together with Thaci party deputy leader Hajredin Kuci. He today told reporters in Pristina that "the two party leaders expressed readiness to discuss the constitution of new institutions, but only after the final election results have come in, so that they would know exactly where the two parties stand". Following various media interpretations of the epilogue of the meeting, Ceku reiterated that "the two leaders did not reach an agreement of any kind", and that the meeting was held "spontaneously". Ceku's party is a member of the Coalition for a New Kosovo, which comprises the Alliance for a New Kosovo and four other smaller Kosovo Albanian parties. In the December 12 elections, the Thaci party won 33.5 percent of votes, while Ceku's coalition received eight percent of votes. The commission that organized the election decided to repeat voting on 27 polling stations on January 9, which will delay the publishing of final results at least until mid-January.
