Serbian President Boris Tadic met on Monday in Banja Luka, RS, with the Bosniak (Muslim) member of Bosnia's presidency, Bakir Izetbegovic. They attended a ceremony organized by Nezavisne Novine daily, that chose Croatian President Ivo Josipovic as its "personality of the year". Regional leaders "ready for new stage" Tadic and Izetbegovic said that the "friendly conversation opened up a new stage of relations". Tadic said that all open issues between the two countries should be solved "even before official visits", while Izetbegovic believes that relations between peoples in the region are "maturing toward better relations". The post-1992-95 war Bosnia is made up of two entities - the Serb Republic (RS), and the Muslim-Croat Federation. "I expect Bosnia-Herzegovina to respect Serbia's integrity, we spoke about friendly relations, we spoke about the need to solve the problems of the three peoples in Bosnia, in all of the Balkans, because these peoples - Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks, live also in Croatia and Serbia," Tadic was quoted as saying. Izetbegovic noted that the time had come for the situation in the region to "normalize, and for a road toward better life". The ceremony to award Josipovic also saw attendance of RS President Milorad Dodik, who hosted it, Serb member of Bosnia's Presidency Nemobojsa Radmanovic, and Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic.
