Every fake permanent residence registration and all documents which contain the false address will be invalidated. The persons who were involved in the forging will be arrested, Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Sunday. Police probe fake residence registrations Following a visit to the police department in Prokuplje, southern Serbia, Dacic told reporters that the authorities will arrest all persons who falsified their residence registrations and all individuals who helped them in the forging. Dacic pointed out that Serbia respects the rights of all its citizens, regardless of whether they live in Kosovo or in some other part of Serbia. The minister added that every Serbian citizen has the right to a passport, ID card and change of residence. “On the other hand, the EU is exerting pressure with the aim to prevent this... We are trying to find a way to ensure that people's rights are not violated and, at the same time, to sanction all illegal activities, including false residence registration,” Dacic said.
