Elections in Serbia will follow in less than a year, says Minister Without Portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin. He took part in a joint session of the Democratic Action Party (SDA) Presidency and its municipal councils for Priboj and Prijepolje. Minister: Elections in less than year After the meeting Ugljanin called upon Bosniaks to form a common list of MP candidates for next elections and that way win, as he said, at least five seats. “With five MPs Bosniaks would have a parliamentary group and would be a significant factor in parliament. If our two MPs’ support decided on the ruling majority, you can conclude that Bosniaks could be even more convincing in parliament with five votes,” he stressed. The SDA leader pointed out that his party believed that Bosniaks in Serbia should not belong to different parties and that it was necessary to unite all political options in Sandzak in order for Bosniaks to have a single electoral list in next elections. “With more than 110,000 Bosniak votes it could happen again, but with significantly more MPs in parliament, that Bosniaks are that useful factor which would help Serbia continue its European path,” he said. We will insist on this proposal and I hope that we will achieve results when it comes to merger of Bosniak parties and agreement on a common list for next parliamentary elections, Ugljanin added.
