Slovenian PM Borut Pahor has arrived for a one-day visit to Serbia, and has met with his Serbian counterpart Mirko Cvetkovic. The two premiers concluded in Belgrade on Tuesday that bilateral relations of the two countries are on the rise, and Cvetkovic thanked Pahor for the support Slovenia is giving Belgrade on its EU path. PM meets with Slovenian counterpart At a press conference after the meeting, Cvetkovic stated that Slovenia is one of the most important investors in Serbia, adding that Serbian export to Slovenia has also recorded growth in the latest period. Confirming that Slovenia supports Serbia on its EU pathway, Pahor said that one of the issues of the talks was succession, and that agreement was reached that as of next fall, Slovenia becomes the owner of the building of the former Yugoslavia embassy in Rome. Pahor is also due to meet with President Boris Tadic and Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic. Later during the day, he will travel to the town of Indjija, north of Belgrade, where he will open a new factory alongside the head of the Vojvodina provincial government Bojan Pajtic. The Metal-Cinkara factory is a Slovenian investment worth EUR 21mn. Slovenia's STA news agency reports that thus far Slovenia invested EUR 1.7bn in Serbia, and says this created 22,000 jobs.
