Kosovo Albanian PM Hashim Thaci accepted that the dialogue with Belgrade should begin before the elections in Kosovo. This is according to the Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore, which today writes that the dialogue will begin with the issue of missing persons. "Talks to begin in next several weeks" "The activities of Office of the EU High Representative on Foreign Affairs and Security Policy representative Robert Cooper in the past several days in Pristina resulted in Thaci's acceptance that the dialogue should begin before the elections," says the article. According to the paper, the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is expected to begin in the next several weeks. Brussels did not request that leaders of "both countries" should take part in that meeting, writes Koha Ditore, but rather that the delegations be headed by officials close to Thaci and Serbian President Boris Tadic. The daily stated that Tadic will appoint Jovan Ratkovic as head of the Serbian delegation. Ratkovic is Tadic's advisor for the relations with the EU and NATO, and one of the founders of the resistance movement that helped topple Milosevic's government, noted Koha Ditore.
