Court bans Holocaust denier's book

The Higher Court in Belgrade has prohibited the distribution of Swiss historian Jurgen Graf’s book “The Myth of the Holocaust”. The court also ordered all copies of the book to be seized. The book represents incitement to discrimination, animosity and violence, said Republic Public Prosecution Spokesman Tomo Zoric. “By quoting certain parts of the book it is clear that it directly underestimates the Holocaust and its historic importance, the number of victims and it directly advocates national and religious hatred against the Jewish people, inciting animosity and violence,” he explained. According to Zoric, the ban is a great success of the prosecution which will continue to work on preventing and sanctioning incitement to ethnic, racial and religious hatred and intolerance.
