A spokesman for the DSS party says that their fellow opposition Progressives (SNS), and the ruling Democrats (DS), "have a lot in common". Petar Petkovic spoke during a news conference in Belgrade on Monday, and said the two parties were similar because of their position regarding the EU. "Democrats, Progressives, very similar" Should DS and SNS start cooperating, he continued, it would mean that a group had been formed with the goal of implementing EU policies and establishing "good neighborly relations with the fake state of Kosovo", as well as changing the Constitution so that the word "Kosovo" is no longer mentioned there. The DSS official said his party advocated a state policy where membership in the EU has an alternative.
