Kosovo: Incident in northern town

Two explosive devices were thrown into the yards of two Serb-owned homes in a town in the northern, mostly Serb areas of Kosovo. The incident happened early this morning in the town of Zvecan. Kosovo police, KPS, spokesman Besim Hoti said that, "due to bad weather and darkness", police did not conduct a full investigation of the scene, but were back this morning to search the area, and look for evidence. The Milisavljevic house was attacked previously in June, when three vehicles were damaged. The KPS spokesman said that the incident last night was not related to the shutting down of telephony services in Serb areas south of the Ibar River, but that "tensions had increased among the population in the north".
