Lawyer Bozo Prelevic says that the Ratko Mladic conversations tapes that have been made public in Serbia were first carefully filtered. He mentioned one conversation that has been broadcast in the media, where Mladic talks to a psychic, and says there will be "no relevant tapes" that will be made public. Mladic transcripts were "filtered" "For example, I'm not sure that (Richard) Holbrooke and what he promised will show up anywhere in those transcripts. It's so utterly interesting that this house (where the tapes were found) was searched a hundred times, and yet the transcripts show up now", said Prelevic. He believes that the publishing of the tapes, which the Hague fugitive and former military leader of Bosnia's Serbs recorded himself, is in fact preparation for his arrest, and that many "flippant things will be in the media in the coming period", such as the conversation with the psychic. "It's possible that they are trying to influence the public by vulgarizing the whole thing, to represent Mladic, Karadzic in a ridiculous light, or perhaps as persons who took money somewhere," the lawyer stated. "Then, if things move in that direction, that will be preparation for a possible arrest, or a good foundation for people to say, there, he's not really a hero, he's a man that did this and that, which has already been published," Prelevic was quoted as saying. The hundreds of audio tapes and discs, along with Mladic's war-time diaries, were recovered in Belgrade in February this year, and have been added into the Hague Tribunal's evidence. The tapes reportedly contain recordings of Mladic's conversations with Slobodan Milosevic, Jovica Stanisic and Radovan Karadzic.
